Community
Melbourne has been home for most of my life. I live here with my wife, my son and our two dogs, and the city's civic and community life is where I put my time outside of work.
Involvement
Australia China Business Council. I co-founded the ACBC Future Leaders Forum and chaired it until 2025, and have served on the ACBC Victoria Executive Committee, working to strengthen commercial and cultural ties between Australia and China.
Share the Pie. I co-founded this not-for-profit initiative advocating for people experiencing homelessness, in collaboration with the Brotherhood of St Laurence.
DadFit. I support this community organisation promoting mental health and physical activity for fathers.
Basketball. Most weekends you will find me on a community court somewhere in Melbourne.
City of Melbourne Council, 2024
In 2024 I stood for City of Melbourne Council. I ran because I believe councils benefit from professional backgrounds and commercial discipline, and because I wanted a say in the city my son will grow up in. I was not elected, and I remain glad I stood; contesting an election is the most direct civic education available, and the issues that motivated the campaign, liveability, support for small business and value for ratepayer money, still shape how I contribute to Melbourne today.
